Is this true? I thought anything made prior to 9-13-1994 was exempt from the Assault Weapon criteria, and thus even the banned-by-name ones were ok? Can anyone elaborate on this? And has anyone here actually purchased a pre-ban Colt? I know they're pricey, but I'm 19, and I'm in no position to leave the state. Something about because they're banned by name. They look fine to me, especially since I'd eventually sell off the uppers anyway, but someone told me not all pre-ban Colts are legal in CT. I'm looking on Gunbroker, and most of what I see are Colt "SP-1" rifles or recievers. Got a Christmas bonus and tax return coming in a few months, and I'm thinking it's pre-ban AR time for me, but I have a few questions. However, turns out this just made me want a real AR. I love the gun it was that or a Mini-14, and the SCR's ability to use AR mags and any AR upper beat out the Mini. I recently got an Ares SCR lower, and put it on my own upper.
